Blue Hat (Facilitator): Let’s begin our first round of brainstorming using the Six Thinking Hats technique. I would like to remind everyone of their roles for this session, and we will be focusing on the objective “How to deal with AI caused job losses?” and discussing the previous points made in the last reply.
White Hat (Data): Based on available data, it is estimated that approximately 800 million jobs could be displaced by AI and automation by 2030. However, it’s also important to note that new jobs will be created as a result of these technological advancements.
Red Hat (Emotions): Many individuals may feel anxious or fearful about the potential loss of their jobs due to AI. It is essential to address the emotional impact on workers and provide support during this transition.
Black Hat (Caution): We must consider the potential negative consequences, such as increased income inequality, unemployment, and social unrest. Additionally, there may be challenges in re-skilling and up-skilling the workforce quickly enough to keep pace with technological advancements.
Yellow Hat (Positive Thinking): On a positive note, AI can create new opportunities for employment and economic growth. For example, it can help businesses become more efficient, reducing costs and increasing productivity. It can also enable individuals to focus on tasks that require creativity and human interaction.
